About Us
Waltham Forest Bike Recycling Scheme: is coordinated by Colin and Chris, with support from dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers, the scheme aims to do the following:
- Bicycle recycling: donate your old or unwanted bicycles, including frames and good parts. We recycle the parts where possible in order to build new bicycles
- Provide guidance and know-how in maintaining your own bicycle - gain hands-on experience of this much needed skill
- Rebuild bicycles which are then sold on to members of the public. We usually have bicycles to cater for all ages, size and gender
NEW: We now teach bike maintenance courses
Do you want to master the art of bike maintenance? We are pleased to announce that we now offer dedicated classes, taught by our very own experts Colin and Chris, at subsidised rates.
These fantastic and intensive courses last 8 hours over 2 days and cost £65. There is a 10% discount for LCC, LBWF Staff and owners of our recycled bikes - so get the best of both: get a nice recycled bike from us and learn how to maintain it with a 10% discount!
Our courses run on the 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month from 10AM to 2PM
